East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust’s Healthy Weight Team will be at local leisure centres over the next month to offer advice and guidance on alcohol consumption and maintaining a healthy weight.
The team will be offering free individual consultations using state-of-the-art Inbody 230 technology, which reads body composition including Body Mass Index (BMI), lean tissue:body fat ratio, waist:hip ratio and personalised calorie outputs for different sports and activities.
The team will be available at Freedom Leisure, Hailsham on Tuesday 13th March between 2pm and 8pm
Diana Taylor, Health Development Coordinator, said: “These events are free and open to anyone and the aim is to get people to start to think about their alcohol consumption, how many calories are in the alcohol they drink and the effect it can have on their health.
“After the person’s body composition has been assessed, we’ll be able to give them a full interpretation of their results, personalised weight and fitness goals and diet and nutrition advice. We’ll also be able to signpost them to other services that can provide support.”
