The Cuckoo Trail is a public footpath and cycleway which runs along the route of a disused railway line. It links Hailsham to other nearby towns avoiding roads through most of it’s route.
It is possible to walk or cycle safely to Polegate (our nearest railway station) and on to Hampden Park. In the other direction is Horam and Heathfield.
The route passes though beautiful countryside and is not only a commuter route but also a favourite route for leisure walking and cycling.
